The client wished to create a 3D sculpture, in white and gold, based on Banksy’s iconic 2002 ‘Girl with Balloon’ mural, to add to their private artwork collection.
We interpreted Banksy’s ‘Girl with Balloon’ artwork as a 3D wall sculpture. Our talented 3D artist sculpted the work digitally. This required interpreting what the girl, her facial expression and dress, the paving, and the balloon would look like as 3D forms.
The sculpting work resulted in a custom one-of-a-kind sculpture, which we 3D printed in sustainable biodegradable material (PLA). The sculpture was then sanded and hand-painted by our finishing artist in matte white, and the balloon was painted gold. The sculpture has one flat side, allowing it to be displayed as a 3D wall sculpture.
The Girl with Balloon 3D sculpture was highly commended by the client, who displays it in their private art collection.
