Fromm required a 3D-printed head bust of their digital animation character for the grand opening of a jewellery brand’s shop in Copenhagen. With a tight lead time of just two weeks, we needed to deliver the project on schedule.
This project exemplified how a digital character animation could be transformed into a tangible object. The client provided a 3D model of the bust, which we carefully prepared for 3D printing. To ensure reliability and meet the client’s tight deadline, we printed the bust in multiple parts. The parts were made from a biodegradable PLA material, in various colours, as colour was not important at this stage.
The client assembled and finished the 3D-printed parts into the final bust. They applied a ceramic gloss finish, bringing the character to life with a stunning, polished look. The bust was successfully used as a bespoke jewellery display for the shop opening in Copenhagen, adding a unique visual element to the event.
We are an award-winning 3D Design, 3D Printing and Finishing studio founded in 2016 and based at the Design District in North Greenwich.
