Red Bull E-Gaming Tournament Maps

We 3D-printed a set of e-gaming maps for Red Bull Instalock, the UK’s first professional women’s Valorant tournament in 2024.

The Brief

Red Bull required three 3D-printed maps of the video game Valorant for a professional women’s e-sports gaming tournament in London. These maps would be used in a tactile challenge where contestants would identify each Valorant map (Split, Lotus, and Ascent) while blindfolded, video below.

What We Did

We converted the client’s 2D images of the maps into precise 3D CAD models by carefully tracing each map’s outlines. These models were then 3D-printed using durable and sustainable matte iron grey colour PLA material. We met a stringent deadline to ensure the maps were ready for the e-gaming tournament.

Result

The clients were pleased with the 3D-printed maps, and contestants enjoyed identifying each Valorant map by its 3D shape during the tournament.
